Man Charged With Possessing Drugs At Oneida County Office Building
A Utica man has been arrested for allegedly possessing drugs at the Oneida County Office building.
The Sheriff's Office says 24-year old Dayqonne Ellis was at the Department of Social Services office when deputies assigned to the security unit smelled raw marijuana in a hallway adjacent to the interview rooms.
They say Ellis, aware of the deputies presence, passed the drug to a woman he was with who had a one-year old child on her lap.
Ellis was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
The New York State Child Abuse hotline was notified of the incident, which remains under investigation.
