Man Charged With Possessing Stolen Vehicle

A Utica man has been arrested and charged with possessing a stolen vehicle.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 32-year old Michael Peppers was stopped for an equipment violation on Route 8 in New Hartford.

An investigation revealed that the vehicle he was driving was reported stolen from Utica weeks earlier.

Peppers was charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

He's also facing traffic charges, including aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
