Citi Field and the New York Mets will host next year's All-Star Game on July 16th, 2013.

The official announcement came Wednesday from MLB Commissioner Bud Selig, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Mets majority owners Fred and Jeff Wilpon.

Oh, and Mr. Met was there too!

The 2013 All-Star Game, and related events, will mark the first time the Mets have played host for the event since 1964. according to Mets.com.

The last MLB All-Star Weekend in New York came in 2008, the final year at the old Yankee Stadium.

Some estimate all-star festivities will generate nearly $200 million dollars for New York City's economy.
