Midstate Inmate Faces Weapons Charges After Homemade Shank Found

An inmate at Midstate Correctional Facility in Marcy is facing more charges following the discovery of a homemade weapon.

State Police say on April 2nd, Bryan Ruple, 34, was allegedly found in possession of a shank while confined at the facility.

Ruple is charged with Promoting Prison Contraband and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, both felonies.
