New Poll Finds 42 Percent of New York Residents Won’t Vacation This Summer
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A new poll has found that 42 percent of New York residents say they will not take a vacation of a week or more this summer.
The poll of state residents released Thursday by Siena College found that a small majority of respondents, 56 percent, said they will take a vacation of at least one week in the coming months.
Most of the vacationers plan a road trip and most are headed to the ocean.
One in five people are vacationing for two or more weeks.
The telephone poll of 801 residents was conducted June 1-28. The poll has an overall margin of error of 4.3 percentage points.
