New York's online voter registration system is setting a new record.

In the period between March 10th to the 20th almost 41,000 voter registration applications were processed.   Of those about 21,000 were from first-time voters.

According to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's office, "MyDMV also set an all-time record on Friday, March 18 with 13,961 voter registration applications received, including 7,128 from first-time voters."

Cuomo is encouraging all eligible voters to register on the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles website.

New voters must register by Friday, March 25, 2016 in order to be eligible to vote in New York's primary, which takes place on April 19, 2016.
