New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - New Hartford Police say they arrested a Boonville man for allegedly displaying a handgun to a bartender at a local establishment. The incident occurred around 7:30 Friday evening at 99 Restaurant and Pub in New Hartford, after the bartender reported that the man displayed the gun and a loaded magazine. The suspect is also accused of making threatening comments about minorities while displaying his weapon.

Police say they located the suspect, 57-year-old Daniel F. Hoehn, of E. Ava Road, through his credit card receipt. Over the weekend, police were called to the restaurant again after Hoehn made his way back to the establishment. According to the report, he was in possession of a .45 caliber pistol at the time. Hoehn was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Menacing and 4th Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, both are misdemeanors. Officials say they released him on his own recognizance and seized all his weapons including his gun permit. Hoehn is due back in court on April 12th for further proceedings.
