A member of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office has been honored by the New York State Sheriff's Association.

Chief Deputy Gabrielle Liddy was given the Carl Drexler Award at the Sheriff's Assocation's 2013 winter conference.

The award is presented to an employee of a Sheriff's Office for their career achievements.

Liddy was nominated by Sheriff Rob Maciol.

She's been a member of the Sheriff's Office since 1990.
