Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Oneida County STOP DWI program has a new coordinator.

County Executive Anthony Picente appointed Thomas Giruzzi to the position, and said he brings years of experience and knowledge to the job.

He also believes Giruzzi will be an excellent choice for the county.

"It's a perfect fit for him in terms of what he's been doing on the education side of it," Picente said. "And I know he'll fit in well working with all the other agencies that we fund through the DWI program."

Giruzzi previously served as the county's youth program director, and as an educator with the STOP DWI teen safety program.

His first day in the position is Monday, November 26th.
