Jonny Cueto (8-3) struck out eight Mets while allowing just six hits over seven innings and leading the Reds to a 3-1 victory to complete a three game sweep at Citi Field on Sunday.

After scoring 29 runs in three games at Tampa Bay, the Met offense held to just 5 in the series with Cincinnati - Sunday's lone run came on a bases loaded walk to pitcher Chris Young in the second inning.

Young (1-1) yielded all three runs in fifth inning allowing RBI singles to Wilson Valdez and Brandon Phillips. Joey Votto crossed with the third run on Lucas Duda's throwing error.

Sean Marshall got the final out of the eighth inning and worked a perfect ninth for his ninth save.
