Rochester Woman Arrested While Trying To Sneak Pot Into Jail

For the second time in two weeks, someone has been arrested for attempting to bring marijuana into a jail.

State Police say on February 24th, Vanessa Ruiz, 28, from Rochester, allegedly tried to sneak pot into the Midstate Correctional Facility.

Ruiz was arrested and charged with Promoting Prison Contraband and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

State Police were assisted by the New York State Inspector Generals Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
