Arlington, TX (WIBX) -  The Packers defeated the Steelers, 31-25, in Super Bowl 45 at Cowboys Stadium. Green Bay built a 21-3 first-half lead and hung on to win its first Super Bowl since 1997 and fourth overall. Pittsburgh was denied its third title in six years and fell to 6-and-2 all-time in the Super Bowl.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named the Most Valuable Player. He completed 24-of-39 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns without an intercepetion in his first Super Bowl appearance. Rodgers hit Greg Jennings for two of his scores.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw for 263 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. As a team, Pittsburgh turned the ball over three times.
