Rome, NY (WIBX) - Rome police are blaming an accident on Route 365 on a turkey. According to Oneida County Sheriff's officials at the scene of the accident, yesterday afternoon, 48-year-old Annette Caro of West Thomas Street in Rome, was driving East on Route 365 when a turkey flew into the passenger side of her car.They say Caro sustained minor injuries from the collision after striking her elbow on the arm rest of the car.

Caro had another adult and two children in the car with her at the time of the accident however, no one else was hurt. Rome police say no tickets were issued. Also, there is no word about the birds condition or its whereabouts.
