Starting next week, St. Elizabeth Medical Center will restricting the number of public entrances at the hospital.

Beginning on Tuesday, April 14th, four entrances will be open to the public from 5 am to 9 pm, but will only be accessible by identification badges used by employees and medical staff from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The following entrances are effected

  • Front Hospital Entrance
  • Parking Garage Second Floor Entrance
  • Admitting Entrance
  • Walk-In Emergency Room Entrance

An additional four entrances will be closed to the public.

All patients and visitors will continue to use the Emergency Department entrance from 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Mohawk Valley Health System officials say the decrease in the number of unattended entrances will help increase security at the hospital.
