New York state's unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level in almost five years.

According to numbers released by the New York State Department of Labor, the jobless rate decreased from 7.7% to 7.4% in November.

That's the lowest level since January of 2009.

In addition, the state's economy added 4,300 private sector jobs, raising New York's private sector job count to 7,493,500 -- another all-time high.

Job growth in the Utica-Rome area increased by 1.5%..
