Verona Beach State Park has closed its swimming area temporarily after harmful algal blooms were detected. The park and splash pad are still open.

Algae is edible. But this kind is NOT. Please don't swim, drink or eat it.

Stay out of the water. One Central New York beach is closed until further notice.
