New Yorkers are being urged to stockpile a key ingredient needed for their favorite seasonal baked goods.

Why would someone do this on purpose, you ask? Well. No one would.

There are different types of people in the fall. There are pumpkin spice people and there are apple cinnamon people. This list is for the latter.

"Water pie is a sweet pie made with just six ingredients: water, flour, sugar, vanilla extract, butter, and a pie crust. Like other recipes that originated during the Great Depression, water pie stretches a handful of ingredients by turning them into something substantial."

They are open Wednesday through Sunday 8 AM to 2 PM. The storefront will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
