The beaches along Cazenovia Lake in Madison County are now open.

Blue-green algae was found at 2 local beaches resulting in their closure until further notice. Swimming, wading and water contact activities are not permitted at these beaches until visual verification and water samples confirm toxin levels are below a level of concern.

Two Oneida Lake beaches are being closed because of algae blooms.

The Oneida County Health Department says blue-green algae has been found in parts of Oneida Lake.
