The Boil Water Advisory issued by the Mohawk Valley Water Authority on Friday, December 30th, 2016 for portions of New Hartford and Frankfort has been lifted. Laboratory results confirm that the water is now safe for consumption.
A boil water order remains in effect for the City of Rome. According to Mayor Jackie Izzo, despite an early detection of E. coli. in a water sample taken on Tuesday, the problem has been addressed, and should be resolved soon. Update: 10/20/16 - Officials with Herkimer County 911 have lifted the boil water advisory that was issued earlier this week for part of Herkimer and German Flatts.
The Mohawk Valley Water Authority says due to unforeseen circumstances during a scheduled repair, a Boil Water Advisory has been issued for part of the Town of Marcy.
