Utica city officials are touting a fifth consecutive budget surplus and a growing fund balance that they say is at it's highest level since the 1990's.
The audit of the city of Utica's finances for the 2013-14 fiscal year is complete and Comptroller Bill Morehouse and Mayor Rob Palmieri say the city has an operating budget surplus of $1.5 million.
Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente addressed the Board of Legislators Ways and Means Committee this morning on the county's budget surplus.
Picente says he wanted to answer concerns posed by Minority Leader Frank Tallarino.
