After years of stalled construction, Tidal Wave Auto Spa in New Hartford is finally set to open this September, giving locals a new convenient car wash option along Seneca Turnpike.

Joseph W. Shook (age 35) of Stockport, New York, appeared before Judge Shook in Greenport after being accused of robbing a car wash ten times.

It looks like discussions for the property are once again taking place, and I'm confident many will find it disappointing.

We don't know if there's a name for fear of car washes, but this little girl seems to be afflicted with the condition.

The car wash doesn't seem like the type of place where things often go wrong -- Car goes in, gets cleaned, comes out and most of the work is done by machines. The problem is, when humans get involved, we become the jammed cog in a normally smooth running machine.
