The New York Mets have been keeping pace with the red-hot Atlanta Braves at the top of the National League East to start the season. However, Mets owner Steve Cohen is investing $144 million MORE in payroll than Atlanta in 2023. One would assume that in year three, the primary stakeholder has higher expectations this season than a wild-card-round loss at Citi Field.

The new pitch clock in Major League Baseball has shaved more than 31 minutes from game times so far in 2023. The faster pace has led to an expedited end to beer sales in the stadium...the dreaded 7th inning. However, MLB teams are quickly making adjustments.

There is a growing twitter campaign to get the New York Mets to name a 'Kiner's Korner' at Citi Field.

Citi Field and the New York Mets will host next year's All-Star Game on July 16th, 2013.

The Mets will be playing in the same park next year, however, Citi Field will look quite different.
