Thursday marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day at Normandy where so many Allied forces, including thousands of Americans lost their lives fighting for the liberation of France and the defeat of Hitler's Germany on June 6, 1944.

Jim 'Pee Wee' Martin was not about to let the 70th anniversary of D-Day go by without showing his respects.

In honor of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, the Whitestown American Legion Post will be holding a Remembrance Ceremony to honor American Veterans past and present.
