The law enforcement officer who led the effort to find two murderers who escaped from a maximum-security New York state prison in 2015 has written a book about his experience.
According to Paul Buckley from the City of Utica the Showtime series scouts are looking for people from the Mohawk Valley to be background performers for some of the scenes. The series itself will be shot in Dannemora.

Lifetime is airing a movie about Joyce Mitchell, the prison guard arrested after assisting the escape of two inmates at the Dannemora Prison in June of 2015.
David Sweat has been arraigned on three felony counts in connection with his escape from a maximum-security state prison.
The 35-year-old Sweat made a brief appearance August 20 in Clinton County Court.
