A local man has been hobby droning for the past few years and each Memorial Day he likes to honor those who have served and who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The massive rain storm that swept through Central New York left flooding and devastation in its path. Bill Tuttle took to the skies with his drone to take aerial footage of the aftermath from the Sauquoit Creek.

Many are still digging out from the snowfall dropped on Central New York. The highways and city streets once littered with abandoned vehicles are finally beginning to be cleared again. Just days ago it was a different story.

The Erie Canal was first proposed in 1805. It was 20 years later that the waterway was completed. Along the heart of the canal is Utica, NY. Now a great view for area restaurants, and a great view along the New York State thruway, the canal is still flowing strong, and is used for many purposes.

Isn't it funny that some of the most beautiful features of a building are ones that may rarely be seen? Utica's skyline may seem small, but when you take a look from high above, it's filled with character, history, and style.
