SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities in Santa Clarita, California, say a 3-year-old is safe after family members chased down her abductor.

On Monday in a town outside Toronto, 10-year-old girl foiled an attempted abduction by requesting a code word she had worked out with her parents.

Authorities at this hour say they are still trying to free a six year-old boy being held captive by a gunman in Dale County, Alabama.
