Utica, NY (WIBX) - Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare is making cuts and reducing its workforce in an attempt to save money.

In an effort to re-engineer a recovery and stop the massive sell-off of its stock, Bank of America reportedly plans to lay off 3,500 employees this quarter. Thousands more could lose their jobs in the coming months.

Budget cuts are jeopardizing New York State Parks and some advocacy groups are banding together to find solutions the State can adopt when the legislature returns to Albany on January 1, 2011.
