There's another twist in the story of a Utica woman who is accused of creating a phony GoFundMe page, claiming the money would benefit the family of a murdered Syracuse-area toddler.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — A prosecutor says a man charged in the slaying of his 21-month-old daughter likely killed the toddler on New York state-owned forestland outside Syracuse before returning to the city and dumping her body in a creek.

Of yesterday's press conference he said, "It was a very tough situation...In our rush to respond to things that develop on social media...we have to not lose sight of the fact that we are dealing with human beings here...we have to be careful."
