From a Mother's Day laugher to a loss, the New York Mets saw a six-run lead evaporate as Jacob deGrom and the Mets bullpen were rocked 11-9 by the Brewers at Miller Park in Milwaukee on Sunday.
The Mets hadn't scored 10 runs in a game all season, but on Saturday their plodding offense busted out for nine hits and 10 runs in the fourth inning en route to a 14-1 thumping of the Brewers at Citi Field.
The pink eye epidemic has spread into the Milwaukee Brewers clubhouse, so the team is invoking a new rule to stop the spread of the infection: no more high-fives. That's right, the most popular way that athletes celebrate is now banned by the team so players, coaches, and other staff members do not contract pink eye...
