New Hartford Central School Superintendent Robert Nole announced on Wednesday they have extended remote learning through February break because of the effects of COVID-19.
The New Hartford Central School District has moved the high school to full virtual learning next week due to the additional spread of a COVID-19 outbreak. Meanwhile, the ban on extra-curricular sports that was lifted Friday afternoon, has now been reinstated.
It was another Tuesday night and another heated school board meeting at New Hartford Central School District. The Board of Education has been meeting weekly to deal with their hybrid learning model that went into effect back in September.
New Hartford's attempt to record a graduation television special following social distancing guidelines was forced to shut down last week and the topic hit WIBX's Keeler Show on Thursday. It was standing room only at Tuesday night's New Hartford school board meeting as the district faced faculty and community members while presenting their 2018-19 budget.
UPDATE: 09/26/2014 1411 Although officially still on lockdown, New Hartford schools will dismiss on schedule, with strict security measures in place. All students will exit from one location in their respective buildings. After school activities and after school programs, in New Hartford, Utica, and New York Mills are cancelled.
