After a lengthy search process to replace former Superintendent Peter Blake, the Rome City School District Board of Education has selected their candidate. The new head of the district brings more than 20 years of educational experience to the city.

For the first time since the beginning of the Pandemic students in the Rome City School District will be resuming in-person instruction. The announcement came in the form of a letter from Superintendent Peter Blake.

Rome Superintendent Jeffery Simons released a statement saying the Rome City School District will review its options at a Board of Education finance committee meeting tonight.
