WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) — Consider Waukegan and Stevenson, two Illinois school districts separated by 20 miles — and an enormous financial gulf.

The operations budget revote for the Herkimer Central School District passed.

Voters in the Herkimer Central School District rejected the school board's proposed budget this week, along with the 5.6% tax increase that was included in it.
