NBC's The Voice will be on Monday and Tuesday this week and one of those nights will feature Keeler in the Morning favorite Selkii in a Battle-Round performance, according to the artist who spoke with WIBX's Keeler show this week.

NBC's The Voice released a sneak peak of this week's blind auditions and the South African artist who spent part of the summer in the Utica area was in the spotlight. What song did she do? An artist with ties to the Utica-Rome area is expected to audition on NBC's The Voice in an upcoming blind audition. Selkii, a South African now living and performing in the United States, spent time in the Utica area performing and collaborating last summer.

It's not every day you come across an artist that makes you take a double take when you first hear them; Selkii is one of those artists. In July, the South African was recording a new album in Upstate New York when she performed an impromptu pool party to try out some of her new originals and she completely wowed the crowd of about 75 locals from the Utica area.
