The City of Utica will get a $1 million state grant and over $3.1 million in state loans toward a project to prevent Oneida County Sewage Treatment Plant overflows from going into the Mohawk River.

Residents and business owners in parts of the Oneida County Sewer District will see additional work as crews begin the second phase of lining to rehab local sewer mains.

The Utica Common Council held a special meeting today to vote on a bond order to make repairs and upgrades to the City's sewer system.
