A number of employees from St. Elizabeth Medical Center are in Albany today to urge lawmakers to reinstate $300 million in funding to help build a new hospital in Utica.
Visitor restrictions have been put in place at St. Luke's Hospital and St. Elizabeth Medical Center to protect patients from the flu and other illnesses.
Based on a decline in the number of cases of flu-like illness among area patients, Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center have lifted the restrictions on visitors under the age of 18.
Three local hospitals are continuing to restrict visitors to adults 18 years of age and older due to an increase in patients with the flu and flu-like symptoms.
