Seth Lugo filled in brilliantly for Noah Syndergaard in the Sunday night finale in Part 1 of the 2018 Mets-Yankees Subway Series, out-dueling Yankee-ace Luis Severino as the Mets salvaged the finale at Citi Field 2-0.

The New York Mets extended their winning streak to a season best  four games by cashing in a big first inning en route a 9-4 victory, their third straight win over the Yankees on Wednesday night.

David Wright homered to tie it in the seventh and Daniel Murphy smacked a two-out line drive back up the middle in the eighth to push the Mets to a 2-1 win in game one of the 2013 Subway Series at Citi Field.
