Police in Utica are investigating a shooting along the 900 block of Stark Street in the City early Saturday morning, after a man was shot as he sat on his front porch, police say.

The Proctor High School security officer who was shot in the head at a high school football game on September 9th, was speaking about the horrible experience on Keeler Wednesday morning.

The shooting occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m., and cops say the vehicle was being shot at when the injury occurred.

A shooting on the campus of the Utica School District has brought several changes to this weekend's HS football meeting between Proctor and Whitesboro.
