Rome, NY (WIBX) - The kick-off event for America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk Weekend was held last night at AmeriCU Credit Union in Rome.

The 2011 Heart Run Walk Weekend is in the books and Utica-Rome, the Mohawk Valley and the North County did it again by raising  just over $1.1 Million Dollars for the American Heart Association.
