The Central New York community is mourning the loss of a local volunteer firefighter who passed away unexpectedly.

A driver in Yorkville allegedly failed to stop at a crosswalk and hit a pedestrian.  The man attempting to cross the street was the town's mayor, who suffered a dislocated shoulder and some back pain.
