Two people were injured during a three car crash at the intersection of Thomas Street and Route 69 in the Town of Whitestown.

Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol says Ralph Warren, 52, of Rome, was driving east on Route 69 behind Brandi Gonyea, 27, of Clayville, at around 7:20 this morning.

Gonyea attempted to make a right turn, but Warren couldn't stop and struck her rear bumper. He then went into the opposite lane and struck a vehicle driven by Lori Mccorduck, 33, of Rome.

Warren and Mccorduck were taken to Rome Memorial Hospital and Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare, respectively, with non-life threatening injuries.

Gonyea was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation. Warren was issued several summonses, including following too close, speed not reasonable and prudent, and moving from lane unsafely.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Whitestown Police Department and the Oriskany Fire Department.
