Utica Man Arrested On Sex Abuse Charge

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is facing a sex abuse charge following an investigation by the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center and the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

According to Chief Dean Obernesser, with the Child Advocacy Center, on December 7th, Luis Ricardo Diaz, 51, was arrested following an investigation into a continuing sexual assault.

Allegedly, the incidents took place between 2008 and 2010.

Diaz is charged with one felony count of Sex Abuse and was sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

The victim has been offered counseling through the Child Advocacy Center, while Diaz's case was referred to the District Attorney's Office for grand jury consideration.
