Utica Man Charged In Hit And Run

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police have arrested a Utica man in connection with a two-car, hit and run accident that happened late last night at the intersection of Conkling Avenue and South Street.

Police say when they arrived, officers found a vehicle that had rolled over with a woman still inside.

The Utica Fire Department was able to extricate her from the car.

Police were able to identify the driver of the other vehicle because he left his front bumper behind with a license plate still attached.

21-year old Joseph Declano was arrested and charged with two counts of DWI, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and six vehicle and traffic violations.
