Utica Police Investigating Attempted Abduction

Utica Police are investigating an attempted abduction that happened just before 11:00 Wednesday morning in the area of Genesee and Hobart Streets.

Police say a man driving a four-door sedan stopped and exited the vehicle and tried to force a 17-year old girl to get into the car.

The suspect is white, in his 50s or 60s and has a gray beard.  He was wearing a beret style hat.

The girl was not injured.
