A Utica teen is facing several charges after leading police on a foot chase.

UPD officers were in the area of Conkling Avenue when they saw 16-year old Robert Gettys, who was wanted on a warrant for gun possession.

When the officers tried to stop him, Gettys fled.  As the officers pursued him, police say Gettys reached into his pockets and threw several items to the ground.

Officers were able to take him into custody and retrieve the items, which allegedly included four baggies of cocaine.

Gettys is facing charges including resisting arrest, harassment and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
