Vernon Man Killed In Route 31 Rollover

Verona, NY (WIBX) - A 40-year-old Vernon man is dead after a one vehicle rollover crash.

State Police say Peter Durant was passing a vehicle on Route 31 in Verona shortly before 6 Monday night, and as he pulled back into the lane, lost control of his pickup. Durant's truck rolled, partially ejecting him from the vehicle.

The accident is still under investigation. Police say that area of the road was snow covered and slippery.
