Carmelo Anthony erupted for 43 points including game-tying and game winning 3-pointers as New York grabbed a thrilling 100-99 win over the league leading Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

Anthony shot 16 of 31 from the field and 4 of 5 from 3-point range, including a 3-ball that tied the game at 91-91 in the final seconds of regulation, and another 3-pointer that give the Knicks a 100-99 lead with under ten seconds remaining in overtime (video below).

New York built a 21-point first half lead but Derrick Rose scored 14 of his 29 points in the third as Chicago took a 3-point advantage into the fourth.

Trailing 91-81 with 3:45 left in regulation, the Knicks defense shutout the Bulls and went on a 10-0 run to force the extra period.

Tyson Chandler had a huge day on the glass with 16 rebounds to go along with eight points. Iman Shumpert scored 15, and J.R. Smith added 14 but had an awful shooting performance - 6 of 22 from the field and 2 of 11 from 3-point range.

Carlos Boozer and Luol Deng scored 13 each for the Bulls, who will host the Knicks at United Center on Tuesday night.
