Benefit For Utica Toddler With Rare Blood Disorder

Utica, NY (WIBX) – Parents of a little girl with a disease bearing a very long name are asking for your help and support.
Ella Rose Gianotti, diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called thalassemia major, will receive a bone marrow transplant from her eight year-old sister, Sophia.
Ella’s transplant will take place at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she will first undergo chemotherapy treatment.
A benefit for the Utica toddler will be held on May 20, 2012 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Eagle Club located at 10513 Cosby Manor Road in Utica. Tickets are available for $20 each.
