A body found in Lake Delta over the weekend may be that of a Camden man who went missing on Memorial Day.

A man was found on Sunday morning by Oneida County Sheriff's Office Deputy Robert Snider, who was on routine patrol.

Although authorities believe that the body is that of 32-year old William H. Cook -  who went missing on May 26, 2014 after trying to save his stepson from drowning - the identity and cause of death will not be released until an autopsy is complete.

Oneida County Sheriffs were assisted by the Westernville Fire Department.  Multiple agencies were involved int he initial search effort.

Recovery efforts were suspended on June 2, 2014 because of weather and water conditions.
