2013 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot Includes Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, Palmeiro
Cooperstown, NY (WIBX) – A total of 37 names are on the 2013 National Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot released Wednesday by the Baseball Writer’s Association of America.
Among them, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro and Roger Clemens.
It will be interesting to see how the more than 600 writers of the BBWAA vote this year in regards to those affiliated with performance enhancing drugs.
Keep this in mind, last year Mark McGwire – who was the first to break Roger Maris’ single season mark of 61 HR’s – became eligible for the first time and got just 19% of the vote.
Ballots are due by December 31st, with inductees to be announced in January. A candidate must get 75% support to be inducted.
