California Sea Lion Pup Born At Utica Zoo

The Utica Zoo is celebrating the birth of a California Sea Lion pup.

The male pup was born to resident sea lions Porter and Munchkin.

Officials say the zoo staff is continuing to monitor the pup as he has shown signs of developmental delay.

He's less mobile than expected at this stage so he will continue to be under veterinary observation.

The Zoo hopes to introduce the pup to his father, the exhibit pool and the public in the near future.
